Ghanaian rapper and CEO of Sarkcess Music Sarkodie once again raised his country’s flag high after taking home the ‘’best international flow’’ title at the 2019 bet awards ceremony held at Cobb Energy Arts Center in Atlanta Georgia over the past weekend.
The ‘’best international flow’’ category which is newly created saw entries from some of the finest rappers from other states out of the United States who are on top of their game including Tory Lanez from Canada, Falz The Bhad Guy from Nigeria, Nasty C from south Africa, Little Simz from London, England and Ghetts also from London, England all battling for the same title that Sarkodie actually made away with.
A couple of celebrities congratulated sarkodie for this wonderful win and took to social media to extend their gratitude to the rapper the likes of singer Wizkid, Joey B and actor Van Vicker to mention but a few.
Sarkodie decided to dedicate the award presented to him by the Ugandan movie star, Daniel Kaluuya to his only daughter Adalyn ‘Titi’ Owusu Addo.
In his acceptance speech the ‘’bleeding’’ rapper was quoted as saying: ‘’I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the year of return and I would urge each one of you here to take a trip back home’’.
Sarkodie stands the first African rapper to win in this category.
