Marvel Announces and Confirms Release Date for ‘Black Panther 2’.

Marvel Studios is busy working on the sequel to the much anticipated hit movie Black Panther and it is set to hit the theatres in about two and half years on May 6, 2022.

This announcement was made by Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige on Saturday during Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. According to Mr. Feige, Ryan Coogler, the crowd director submitted a film treatment including the title and a villain but remain silent on full details of the film.

Ryan Coogler is also the one who helmed the original 2018 blockbuster of the original movie, Black Panther.

“We’re really hard at work on it trying to give you something special,” Coogler said after joining Feige on stage.”We’re gonna take our time; we want it to be right.”

2018’s Black Panther starred Chadwick Boseman who starred as the titular character, as well as Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Latitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Forest Whitaker, and Sterling K. Brown. The film broke a number of box office records and nabbed a slew of awards, including three Oscars for Best Original Music Score, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design.
